Good evening, Stingrays families! It was so great to see so many of you at swimsuit fitting this afternoon:)

Thank you so much for joining the team! We are so happy to have you all! 

After some deliberation, we've decided to still have the parent meeting the night before practice starts, this Sunday, May 8th. We realize it's Mother's Day and no worries if you can't make it, but hopefully it's late enough for all the mamas to still be celebrated and we can still manage to get this in before the season fully gets underway.

Typically, this meeting is mandatory for new families and suggested for returning families, but if you can't make it, no worries. If you can, please do so! We will share notes afterward, but after a couple irregular seasons, it couldn't hurt to get as many parents and coaches together as possible to make this a successful season! 

Along those lines, we are still looking for parents to fill some roles on our Parent Committee. We know everyone's lives are busy (especially this time of year!), but it takes a lot of parent involvement to run the swim team and many hands make light work! Volunteering for a PC/board position exempts your family from earning your required volunteer points at swim meets and we are open to families sharing roles! It takes a village!! Our most immediate needs are the following:

• Concessions chair - oversee concessions for our 3 home meets this season; we have notes on ordering and concessions will be staffed
• Computer operator - ASA has recently moved to an extremely user-friendly system and you will be fully trained; you will need to be present at meets, but are free to watch your kid(s) swim their races
• Co-team rep - liaison between ASA/head coach and team; this is a 1-2 year position; looking for someone to shadow this year and take the lead next year
• Co-volunteer chair - liaison between team rep and parents; this is a 1-2 year position; looking for someone to shadow this year and take the lead next year
