    Parking
Great news, we just found out Georgia Tech will not only let us use the W10 parking lot that is attached to the Campus Recreation Center it will be FREE PARKING of a sort. The lot will be accessible during a 3 hour window prior to competition. The gate will either be up, or allow you to enter without needing a card to access the deck from 6:30 am until 9:30 am for the morning sessions and from 1:30 pm until 4:30 pm for the afternoon sessions. If you do not arrive prior to during that window, or for some reason those gates are not open, all other parking is located in the W02 lot, located at 355 Ferst Drive. This pay lot is located across the street from the front entrance of the Campus Recreation Center. It is very close and is a click and pull lot. You pull up to the gate, push the button and get a ticket. You pay when you exit the lot via credit card. The rates are $2 per hour with a $15 per day maximum charge. Prepaid parking will not be available for this year’s meet. Please plan accordingly for this process, particularly the part that requires a credit/debit card to exit the lot. A map of the parking areas can be found at the following link Georgia Tech General Parking Map. The W10 lot is adjacent to the CRC, just north of the entrance of the building. The W02 pay lot is located at 355 Ferst Drive, Atlanta, GA 30318. A meet specific map can be found at ASA Parking Diagram and Map There will also be signs around the venue that will point you in the direction of the lots for the meet.
    Team Arrival at Georgia Tech
Teams should enter the facility via the front door of the Campus Recreation Center. Teams are required to enter together and our team’s arrival time is 8:00 AM. Per Ms. Eddy’s email, please plan on meeting in front of the building at 7:45 so that we may account for all our swimmers and volunteers and enter the building promptly at 8:00.
    Covid Protocols
    • Athletes should come attired in their suits (underneath their warmups).
    • If for any reason an athlete must change (ripped suit, etc.) it must be done in the lower level lockerroom, not mezzanine level bathroom)
    • Masks are not required but are advised for all unvaccinated persons unless actively swimming
    • Teams should perform temperature and symptom checks within one hour of arrival for EVERYONE in their group, coaches included.
    • Social distancing is recommended wherever possible. Teams may sit together, but please stay in your team area and out of other team’s sections.
    • We may conduct temp checks at the entry points of the venue
    • Scheduled team arrival times, staggered to avoid crowding
    • Remain in team area unless you are going to swim
    • Please try to limit numbers of coaches on deck, try to stay with your team.
    • There will be no concessions at the event this year, so plan ahead and pack plenty of snacks and drinks.
    • Non Compliance with Covid Protocols, may result in removal from the meet without warning.
Athlete Staging and Traffic Flow in the Building

GT Deck Diagram and Traffic Flow

    • All swimmers and coaches will access the pool deck via the stairs on the inside of the spectator gallery. This is the stairwell by the scoreboard in the pool.
    • For relay events, teams will take their swimmers to the block area via the far side of the pool deck, opposite the spectator gallery. There will be holding areas on that side of the deck to keep the area behind the blocks relatively clear. Please do not come to the deck until your event is called, this will help keep the number of people on the deck manageable throughout the meet.
    • For individual events teams can bring their swimmers to the bullpen/staging area that will be located near the base of the same stairs that swimmers and coaches use to access the pool deck. We will have a number of trained staff and volunteers to collect the swimmers and ensure they make it to the correct lane for their race.
    • As is the case for relay events, please do not come to the bullpen until your event has been called to report. This will usually be about 3-4 events prior to your event being swum (event 13 will likely be called to report when event 10 begins swimming).
    • Please stay out of this bullpen/staging area, unless you are requested to come into that area by one of our event staff.
    • When swimmers are done with their races they are requested to return back to their team areas. We will have event staff behind the finish area directing swimmers to the collection area. There will be a “collection area” located behind the announcer’s podium where teams can station coaches or credentialed parents to get these swimmers as soon as they are done competing. You may return upstairs to your team area via the back hallway and stairwell at the end of the hall. This is not the stairs you came down to come to the deck, but the back stairwell underneath the upstairs seating.
